Your shoot day guide
Everything you need to know (and nothing you don’t).
We want your time at Sobu to feel calm, creative, and completely seamless.
Here’s your quick rundown so you can walk in and get straight to making magic.
❋ Getting in and closing up
Sobu is self-serve - like an Airbnb for content creation.
First time in the studio?
You’ll be greeted and given a quick tour, if needed, before being left to create privately.
After that:
You’ll let yourself in with your personalised PIN code, easy.
When you leave, please:
• Switch off lights + A/C
• Take your rubbish
• Leave the space as you found it
• Lock up using your code
❋ Parking
We love easy access:
✔ Two dedicated parks right in front of the studio roller door (marked 5)
✔ 6 Visitor bays marked V
✔ Plenty of free street parking
✔ Accessible bay beside the roller door (shared across Karthina Lane)
Please ensure you + your guests don’t park in other tenants’ allocated spots.
❋ Your booking window
Your booking time includes:
bump-in → shoot → pack-down.
Before your shoot day, if you’d like to extend your time please email hello@sobu.com.au to organise a longer booking.
During your booking, if you’d like to extend your time, please reach out via instagram DM and, if there’s availability, we’ll happily organise that for you.
Please note: any overtime that hasn’t been organised prior will incur a fee.
❋ Studio care
To keep the studio feeling beautiful for everyone:
• Lift furniture (no dragging)
• Keep items on their own level (no upstairs ↔ downstairs moves)
• A/C off if the roller door or balcony doors are open
• No smoking, vaping, incense, candles, glitter/confetti, body oils/body make up or messy materials
• No explicit / adult content of any kind
• Keep music at a friendly volume
If you move anything, just pop it back where it was before leaving.
❋ Backdrops, Props & Equipment

Children are absolutely welcome - we just ask that they’re gently supervised and if food or drinks are involved, please keep them to the kitchen area. (tiny hands + curated surfaces = you get it 🤍).

Friendly pets are welcome too!
All we ask is that they stay off the furniture and soft furnishings so the space stays beautiful for everyone.
